MEMBERSHIP FEES OCT 2011 TO SEPT 2012
The Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association was formed in 1958, with the intention of bringing together all persons owning, managing or operating a hotel or restaurant. The main objectives of the Association are:

To promote and safeguard the interest of its members, through joint actions and initiatives;

To represent faithfully and accurately the interests of its members in dealing with Government Authorities, Travel Agents, Tour Operators and other Constituted Bodies.
As a major association of its kind in Malta and Gozo, the MHRA represents the interests of its members on several important national policy making bodies, such as the Malta Tourism Authority, the Institute for Tourism Studies and the Malta Council for Economic and Social Development. In addition, the Association maintains close contact with Government Ministries, bringing to their attention the several problems facing this most important industry.
Membership of the MHRA is opens to all hotels, holiday villages, aparthotels, guest houses, hostels, restaurants and snack bars. Each establishment is represented by not more than one person (owner, manager or senior executive). Membership fees for y/e 30th September 2010 are as follows:

5-star € 665.60 + €2.71 per bedroom
4-star € 544.62 + €2.25 per bedroom
3-star € 363.05 + €1.81 per bedroom
2-star € 90.08 (irrespective of number of bedrooms)
Holiday Villages and Aparthotels
4-star € 755.82 + €2.25 per bedroom
3-star € 363.05 + €1.81 per bedroom
2-star € 329.31 + € 1.63 per bedroom
Casinos € 1,781.94
Guest Houses and Hostels € 90.80 (irrespective of number of bedrooms)
Contract Caterers € 90.80
Restaurants
1st Class € 90.80 (irrespective of number of covers)
2nd Class € 60.49 (irrespective of number of covers)
3rd Class € 30.29 (irrespective of number of covers)
